No matter where you live, you deserve top-notch pizza. It's a fact of American life that pizza accompanies us wherever we go - and can you blame us? Cheesy goodness, crispy crusts, and fresh produce are simply too good to pass up. So today, we're gathering a list of the best Charlotte pizza restaurants so you can get your grub on however you like.

Pizzeria Omaggio

Pizzeria Omaggio embraces a number of the finer things in Italian cuisine without leaving behind its Charlotte roots. They've done everything in their ability to create an ambiance that is calming and relaxing, all while delivering what is (inarguably) the best Charlotte pizza. Whether you want a classic pepperoni pie, or something more seasonal like their Fior di Zucca pizza (zucchini, zucchini flowers, ricotta, whole milk mozzarella), there's something here for everyone.

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty pizza made in Italian tradition or other seasonal Italian staples, Pizzeria Omaggio is an excellent stop for the whole family.

Due Amici Pizza

Due Amici is a relatively new entry into the Charlotte pizza scene (having opened five years past), but they've quickly developed a reputation for creating the best New York-style pizza in the area. While they do serve items other than pizza, the truth of the matter is that their pizza is the centerpiece of the restaurant.

In short, assuming you like crispy, thin-crusted New York-style pies, you'll love Due Amici Pizza - in fact, they're the best stop for New York pies in Charlotte.

Benny Penello's

Benny Penello's is another new entry into the Charlotte pizza industry. You'll find the staff of Benny Pennello's in the old gingham factory aside Heist Brewery, serving up absolutely massive (28") pies both whole and by the slice. While they're certainly not on the same level of refinement as others on this list, Benny Pennello's hits all of the right notes, leaving the rest for others to piece together.

Delicious pizza, friendly staff, and fast service are the name of the game here, so swing by the next time you need a slice now.

Honorable Mentions

And now, we make it to our honorable mention section of this list. While these Charlotte pizza places aren't quite as beloved by locals, they're still incredibly deserving of recognition.

So, rather than reading the top three and moving on (yes, I know you do that - webpage analytics exist for a reason), stay a while. You'll be surprised by these next two stops if you just give them a chance.

Blaze Pizza

Blaze Pizza is a semi-local chain of pizza restaurants in Charlotte. While they only have a handful of locations, the Charlotte stop is genuinely top-notch pizza. Blaze crafts thin-crusted pies adorned with incredibly fresh produce, tasty cured meats, and luxuriously-oozy cheese. And if you're not a pizza person (why are you here?), they do have a couple of other snacks to sate that appetite.

While Blaze may not have won the top three spot, they're still one of the best Charlotte pizza places you'll find, hands down.

Geno D's Pizza

Those who simply refuse to leave their couch for a slice will love Geno D's Pizza. Geno's is a member of the ever-growing Slice family, allowing them to bring a pie straight to you, no matter where life brings you and the family. And the ambiance of Geno's is truly something unique - i'ts incredibly casual, allowing customers to feel at home while eating - none of that fine-dining nonsense. Just good, old-fashioned friendliness and hot pizza.

Geno's is known for serving classic Italian pizza made with love, care, and attention to detail, earning them the final spot in our list of the best Charlotte pizza places.
