"Basque-ing" in Foie SF Kickoff Dinner (SF)
San Francisco enters the Silicon Valley Foie Battle on April 5th! Chefs from San Jose, Peninsula and San Francisco will be hosting foie gras dinners in undisclosed locations (until 24 hours prior.)
These Basque inspired dishes make the most of California's seasonal bounty.
Expect excellent food in an unpretentious environment.

Glazed Marin Miyagi Oyster, Foie Gras Cream, Chili Oil, Pickled Cucumber, Shiso
Salt Cured Foie Gras Torchon, Meyer Lemon, Toasted Almond, Muscato Gelee, Pain De Mie, Arugula
Pan Seared Day Boat Scallop, Foie Gras Sauce, Potato Coulis, Hen of the Woods, Sage
Petit Sale, Foie Gras a la Plancha, Beluga Lentils, Green Garlic, Mirepoix, Fava Beans, Duck Jamon, Chicharones
Foie Gras Ice Cream, Prunes in Syrup
Reservations are $130 (tax and tip inclusive) but bring cash for drinks or an optional $55 wine pairing.
These intimate foie dinners will revolve through the month, each week with a different chef from your local restaurants.
Dishcrawlers will rate each dish, and at the end of the month, the chef with the best foie dish will be announced.
Protestors, 5% of the proceeds will go to CHEFS, the Coalition for Humane and Ethical Farming Standards. Please, let us enjoy our moments left alone with our soon to be banned deliciousness.
